Hi folks, pretty rushed here, deadlines, etc. I’m having a blast- Spark is great (
Rome is pretty nice too, hopefully I’ll get some time to really see it later). I’ll have no time to get to some tasks until late July, so here are some previews:
- Get Mancandy v2.3 here. This version should work fine with blender 2.46 and beyond, when I have time I will test and fully document the small changes, in the form of a new video to be added to the faq.
- Mancandy translation effort: when I’m back I’ll work on proofing the texts for subtitles.. other english speaking proofers: don’t wait for me!
- Website:Â big changes coming soon (probably not till August).
More later, including hopefully some surprises.

Nice to see update! New features are not obvious but I am looking forward to testing.
Unfortunately FK/IK switch seems to be broken (using official 2.46). Just one question: Will there be implemented Malefico`s python auto switch with “no jumping” (http://www.malefico3d.org/blog-en/?p=22)? Thank you.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback.
I won’t have time for a while to fix (as I said) but I will soon. In the meantime, please let me know precise problems (i.e. not X is bad, but X is bad because (e.g. they eyes track 90 degrees off from the target etc.) so I know what to fix.
As for IK/FK switching without jumping: yes, as soon as I have time!
on a side note: do you think it is a good idea to have a public SVN for mancandy? with perhaps some other committers than myself?

Mancandy is great. My only complaint is the IK/FK switches aren’t working. Yes, a public SVN would be great. Wonderful idea.

I got a fix in the pipes for a few small issues: better and easier IK/FK switching, and none of the visibility problems for the armature, due to some nice improvements in blender 2.46. There will be a mancandy 2.4 soon, I promise (and hopefully, a new short video for download)

heh, thanks for the reminder Richard, got embroiled in another project, and a few things went by the wayside… how does “in a few days” sound like?
